Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation Honors Retiring Board Members

TAYLORVILLE – The annual meeting of the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation board was held in January.

Mike Blakeman and Kent Richardson, who are retiring from the board after six years, were honored for their service. 

Newly appointed board members are Iris Noblet Crites, CPA; Chris Dougherty, EdD; and Tina Zimmerman.

Blakeman served on the executive committee and held the position of treasurer during his terms. Richardson served on the 2008 “Bringing the Best to You” capital campaign, which raised more than $1 million in support of the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Outpatient Service Center.

“Mike and Kent have displayed commitment and dedication to the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation and the vital role it plays in Christian County,” said Raedena Ryan, executive director of the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Board members accepted a proposal for a new slate of officers for the 2021 board year: Billy Williams, president; Lindsay Barry, vice president; David Brummer, treasurer; and Ron Mizer, DDS, secretary.

The Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation is a nonprofit, incorporated as a 501(c)(3), organized in February 1995. In fiscal year 2020, the foundation distributed $231,000 in grants to support patient care, medical technologies, education and community health outreach.
