A donation to the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation will be used to support local students pursuing careers in healthcare. The Bertrand Hopper Memorial Foundation donated $10,000 in support of the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation Healthcare Careers Educational Grant program. The grant program not only offers financial assistance to local students interested in healthcare, but also offers students opportunities to work at Taylorville Memorial Hospital upon degree completion.
“Education grants are intended to create a talent pipeline,” said Billy Williams, Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation board president. “We want to help students get the education they need and encourage them to build their careers right here at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.”
The Bertrand Hopper Memorial Foundation is a longtime contributor to the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation. “It is because of their continued generosity the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation is able to support its mission to improve health in our community,” said Raedena Ryan, Taylorville Memorial Hospital Foundation executive director. “Through donations like these, we strengthen the future of our community as we encourage young professionals to make a commitment to our service area and serve as the next generation of local healthcare providers.”
