Jane Clements, diet clerk in the Passavant Area Hospital clinical dietitian department, is the Passavant Area Hospital Colleague of the Year.

Clements personifies Memorial Health System values as she works directly with patients and clinical staff to coordinate patient meals and assure compliance with each patient’s diet, Clements’ supervisor, Krystle Walz, said. She added that Clements has an upbeat and positive personality that radiates to colleagues and patients.

Clements has worked at Memorial Health System for four years.

“Jane pays attention to detail,” Clements said. “She communicates very well the needs of each of her patients and never hesitates to ask questions to improve quality.”

Clements is supportive of her colleagues. She initiated an “Appreciation Box” in her department to highlight the great work of her colleagues.

“My department works so well together,” Clements said. “I enjoy the teamwork.”

“Jane is one of the nicest and most compassionate people I have ever met,” Walz said. “She treats patients and their families with the utmost respect and is caring.”

Clements and her husband live in Hillview. Her interests include volunteering at church, spending time with family and homeschooling her children.

Clements was the Passavant Area Hospital Colleague of the Month for August 2020.

The Passavant Area Hospital Colleague of the Year is selected from the 11 employees named Colleague of the Month. The Passavant Area Hospital Colleague of the Year receives a plaque, 40 hours off with pay, $500, a parking spot in the Physicians’ Garage and 50 percent off an item in the Auxiliary Gift Shop.
