Memorial Medical Center has been recognized in the 2020-21 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital rankings as one of the top hospitals in Illinois.
“This Best Regional Hospital list ranks Memorial Medical Center as 14th among more than 200 hospitals in Illinois in terms of safety, quality and service,” said Chuck Callahan, president of Memorial Health System Hospital Group and president and CEO of Memorial Medical Center. “This is a wonderful achievement, and places MMC among the top 15 percent of hospitals in the United States.”
The U.S. News rankings also recognized seven areas of treatment at MMC as “high-performing.” Those treatment areas are: colon cancer surgery, lung cancer surgery, heart failure, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, hip replacement, knee replacement and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Memorial Medical Center is a Magnet-designated, Level 1 trauma hospital with comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in Springfield, Illinois.
