What to Expect
Here's what you can expect as a donor of the Foundation. We will use your gift wisely to advance high-quality,
cost-effective healthcare.
You can designate your gift for medical
education, patient care and research, or specify an area such as cancer,
heart disease or hospice care. You can be confident your gift will be used where you intend it to be used. If you choose to make your gift unrestricted, we will use your donation where the need is the greatest. Upon receipt of your gift, we will send you a letter expressing our
thanks. This letter documents your gift and serves as your receipt. Your
gift is tax deductible as provided by law.
We respect the wishes of our donors who choose to remain anonymous. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation organized, chartered and incorporated in 1981 under the laws of the State of Illinois. Contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible as provided by Internal Revenue Code, section 170.
Colleague Giving is an opportunity for colleagues to
make a difference in our organization by giving back. Whether big or small, the combined gifts have
a powerful impact on our colleagues and the people and communities
we serve. All donations to Colleague Giving stay within Memorial Health.
Colleagues may choose to restrict their donations to a specific fund or
location. Here are some of the most popular restricted funds in past
years:
Nursing Excellence Fund, Cancer Patient Assistance fund, Memorial Behavioral Health, SystemCare, Compassion Leave. Colleagues may choose their donation remain unrestricted. These
gifts will be used to fund grants awarded by the Foundation to support patient care, education and clinical research
throughout Memorial Health.
