This scholarship will be given to colleagues of the Taylorville Memorial Hospital who are furthering their education to fulfill a career goal in the health care field.

The Scholarship Committee shall be composed of three members of the Auxiliary, at least one of whom has a background in education.

The Scholarship Committee shall consider the applicants, their qualifications, and their need for scholarship assistance. The Chairman of the committee shall notify the recipients and the Auxiliary Coordinator, in writing, of the committee decision.

The amount of the scholarship shall be determined by funds available at the time of offering the scholarship and the amount given to each recipient(s) shall be determined by the Scholarship Committee.

Application checklist:

  1. Statement – 500 words or less stating career objectives and progress toward meeting those objectives.
  2. Unofficial transcript from school currently attending.
  3. Statement briefly outlining financial need – typed or computer generated.
  4. Letters of recommendation from at least two and not more than four individuals (ONE must be work related and NONE as family of applicant) who have knowledge of applicant’s ability, work habits, integrity, character, and potential for success in the career objective.
