Driving Health: The Mobile Unit Solution
The Memorial Health mobile unit will bring care to the people and neighborhoods that too often go without it—meeting patients where they live, work, worship, and gather. By taking services on the road instead of asking people to overcome distance, transportation challenges, work schedules, and childcare barriers, the mobile unit turns a simple visit into a real lifeline for families across our five-county region. Mobile units can deliver…
Vaccines to protect against preventable illnesses for adults and children.
Preventive screenings like blood pressure checks, cholesterol and diabetes testing, and colorectal screening kits.
On-the-spot health education and coaching to help people understand their numbers and next steps.
Referrals and navigation support to connect community members with primary care, labs, behavioral health, and social services.
Follow-up and care coordination to make sure patients don’t fall through the cracks after their visit.
The Ask: Help Us Launch the Unit
Every dollar raised through the Memorial Health Championship's signature charitable initiative goes directly toward funding, equipping, and launching the mobile unit.
Every dollar moves the unit one mile closer to a community that needs it.

The Memorial Health Championship Connection
The Memorial Health Championship brings world-class golf to Springfield every year as part of the Korn Ferry Tour at Panther Creek Country Club, but its impact extends far beyond the fairway. This year's signature charitable initiative is the mobile unit and every dollar raised goes directly toward making it a reality.
When you support this campaign, you're not just attending a premier golf event you're investing in the long-term health of our community.
FAQ
Where will the mobile unit go?
Memorial Health has a large established presence in its service area through its community health initiatives. The mobile health unit will draw from this existing network of partners, programs, and initiatives to best prioritize particular locations that will reach those navigating higher burdens of disease and barriers to care, especially in rural locations with fewer healthcare providers.
When will the mobile unit launch?
Through thoughtful planning, strong partnerships, and donor support, we are building this program from the ground up. Over the next 18 months, we will secure funding, equip our mobile unit, hire compassionate staff, and complete all certifications — preparing to serve the neighbors who need us most.
How are communities selected?
Communities will be selected using health need data — including Health Professional Shortage Areas and neighborhoods with high burden of disease — alongside input from local organizations and residents. Operational factors such as safe parking, proximity to our locations, and trusted community partnerships will also guide placement. Together, these criteria ensure the mobile unit reaches the people and places where it can make the greatest impact.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. A portion of your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowable. Because the Champions Club giving levels include goods or services – such as tickets, meals or promotional value – the fair market value of those benefits will be deducted from the tax-deductible amount. You will receive an acknowledgement letter outlining your contribution and the value of any benefits received, which you can use for your tax records. We always recommend consulting your tax advisor for specific guidance.
Can my company match my gift?
Yes. Many employers offer matching gift programs that can increase the impact of your giving. Please consult with your employer to determine if a matching gift is possible. If they do, simply submit the required documentation through your employer’s matching gift portal or HR department for further processing. Our foundation team will verify your contribution and complete any necessary forms. Matching gifts provide an excellent opportunity to further support the new mobile health unit and expend access to care in our communities.
