Christian County high school graduates can apply for several different 2026 scholarships awarded through the Taylorville Memorial Foundation.
The Carolyn M. Butterfield Trust Nursing Scholarship One $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a student who has graduated from a Christian County high school and is enrolled in a two- or four-year college or university. Applicants must be in or have completed their first year in a nursing program. Application deadline is April 17, 2026.
The Dr. George Ferry Memorial Scholarship Two $2,500 scholarships are awarded to Taylorville High School seniors who have been accepted at a two- or four-year college or university with a major in a health care field. Applications can be obtained and submitted to the Taylorville High School guidance counselor and are due March 30, 2026.
The Katie McCarty Nursing Excellence CNA Scholarship is awarded to deserving students who have graduated from a central Illinois high school, with priority given to Christian County residents. Applicants must be accepted into an institution’s CNA program. Scholarship awards vary and can be used for tuition, books and/or fees. Applications are accepted year-round.
