Decatur Memorial Foundation 2026 Scholarship Applications Now Open

Macon County high school graduates can apply for several different 2026 scholarships awarded through the Decatur Memorial Foundation and Decatur Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Decatur Memorial Foundation Agriculture Scholarships: Two $5,000 scholarships are awarded each year to high school graduates who have selected a career in agriculture at a two- or four-year college. Applicants must be a high school senior or an undergraduate. Deadline is March 15.

Dr. Thomas W. Samuels Nursing Scholarship: This $2,500 scholarship is awarded each year to a student pursuing a nursing degree at Richland Community College. Applicants must be a high school senior or already enrolled in Richland’s nursing program. Deadline is March 15.

Dr. Richard H. Fritz Nursing Scholarship: This $5,000 scholarship is awarded each year to a high school graduate who has selected a career in nursing at a two- or four-year college. Applicants must be a high school senior or an undergraduate. Deadline is March 15.

Decatur Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Healthcare Support Professionals Scholarships: Three $5,000 scholarships are awarded each year to high school graduates pursuing a career at a two- or four-year college in a healthcare support profession (nursing, X-ray tech, lab tech, pharmacy tech, etc.). Deadline is March 15.

Dr. Joseph Schrodt Science Scholarship: This $3,000 scholarship is awarded to a student who is a senior at Sullivan High School and pursuing a science-related degree, license or certification in one of the following fields: medicine, engineering, bioengineering, physics, chemistry, health-related discipline or physical or occupational therapy. Deadline is March 24.
