Janet Janssen, a respiratory therapist at Lincoln Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for December.
Janssen is always conscientious and patient focused when a breathing treatment is needed or assistance required for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) or Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP). She recently spent extra time to help a patient who was having difficulty with the device settings and finding a perfect seal on the mask.
“Jan displays high-quality care while also being extremely patient and caring for patients who may be a little anxious,” wrote her nominator. “She builds rapport and trust with her patients by continuing to incorporate their wishes even if it takes a little bit more time to make it individualized for each patient.”
Janssen has worked for Lincoln Memorial Hospital since 2023.
