Preston Ebelherr, a CT technologist with radiology at Lincoln Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for November.
A grateful patient nominated Ebelherr for the conscientious care he provided during a CT scan. The patient had numerous IVs and blood draws over the past months and was pleased with the ease with which Ebelherr’s IV was placed on the first attempt.
“Preston also controlled bruising at the IV site on my hand by pressing on it for a few minutes after removal,” the nominator wrote. “He then took me for the CT scan, gave excellent instructions and since I had forgotten, reminded me I still had my cell phone in my pocket. He placed the phone out of harm’s way and remembered to return it to me after the scan.”
Ebelherr has worked for Lincoln Memorial Hospital since 2017.
