“We’re pleased that U.S. News & World Report continues to recognize SMH for high-quality overall care, as well as outstanding performance in the areas where we excel,” said SMH president and CEO Jay Roszhart.
SMH wasn’t the only hospital within Springfield-based Memorial Health that received honors from U.S. News & World Report this year. Decatur Memorial Hospital was recognized for high performance in treatment for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, as well as knee replacement procedures.
“This recognition is the result of hard work by teams across our organization to improve patient outcomes and ensure positive experiences for the people we serve,” said Mandy Eaton, Memorial Health president and CEO. “Our talented, caring colleagues are truly making a difference in our patients’ lives and the well-being of our communities.”
