Emily Boyer, a pharmacy technician at Decatur Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for May.

Known for being patient-oriented and a champion of identifying efficiencies, Boyer’s work ethic, attention to detail and ability to pivot and lead process changes within the pharmacy department were all recognized by her nominator.

“Emily has fought for proper usage of resources, efficient compounding and the maximation of time and effort at minimal cost to all involved,” the nominator wrote. “She displays an unparalleled dedication to her craft as a pharmacy technician and to the IV room.”

Boyer has worked for Decatur Memorial Hospital since 2018.
