Amanda Vortman, a radiologic technologist at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for May.
Vortman is a leader in the mammography department and is dedicated to patient care. She tracks all Mammography Quality Standards Act paperwork to ensure the department offers the highest quality services, works alongside radiologists and maintains communication with physician offices to ensure the patient has the correct exam done. Vortman also provides guidance and support to new trainees.
“Amanda is dedicated to the quality of work she does with every single patient she encounters,” wrote her nominator. “Most mammography patients remember Amanda by name and are happy to see her on a yearly basis.”
Vortman has worked for Jacksonville Memorial Hospital since 2005.
