Macy Pohlman, a speech pathologist at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for March.
Multiple colleagues nominated Pohlman for the award because of her work ethic, her willingness to take on new challenges and her drive to engage patients with activities that are resourceful, fun, evidence-based and creative.
“Macy is an excellent and caring speech pathologist,” wrote one nominator. “She maintains a full caseload, is frequently a mentor to grad students and is always a team player, willing to pitch in and help her colleagues.”
Another wrote: “Macy is the most versatile member of our team. She is certified in and can do all service areas, from pediatric early intervention with the smallest of patients to adult impatient dysphagia at end of life – she can literally serve the entire lifespan.”
Pohlman has worked for Jacksonville Memorial Hospital since 2021.
