Melissa Hainaut, patient care leader in acute care at Taylorville Memorial Hospital, is the hospital’s Colleague of the Month for December.

Hainaut’s nominator praised her for exceptional care, remarkable dedication and professionalism in every situation.

“Melissa was a big help in putting my mind at ease as she kept me informed of how my mother was doing while I had to be with my father at another hospital,” the nominator wrote. “She maintains a positive attitude even in challenging situations. Melissa always exemplifies the qualities that make a great nurse – dedication, empathy and compassion.”

Hainaut has worked for Taylorville Memorial Hospital since 2009.
