Sharon Ferguson, a patient registration specialist with Memorial Care in Lincoln, is the June Memorial Health Ambulatory Colleague of the Month.
Ferguson is praised by patients and colleagues alike for her work in the Call Center. She mentors others, answers questions and is always the first to volunteer when tasks need completed.
“Sharon has really excelled in our Call Center,” wrote her supervisor. “Many patients mention that they hope to get her on the phone because she is always willing to help or offer a listening ear. She has such a caring voice, and she puts patients at ease.”
Another colleague noted that Sharon has been a mentor, an advocate and someone to reach out to with unanswered questions.
“Sharon works hard, leads us well and is always the first to volunteer,” wrote her nominator. “She is a prime example of integrity, quality and stewardship.”
Ferguson has worked for Memorial Health since 2011.
