Harlee Phillips, RN, is the Decatur Memorial Hospital Colleague of the Month for June.

The clinical nurse received a nomination from a grateful patient who wrote: “Harlee is the perfect balance between firmness and fairness with a good sense of humor. She has a very special heart, and she touched mine.”

Phillips started as a travel nurse with DMH and then signed on to work for the hospital.

“She models Memorial values by her willingness to grow and learn, educate others and be a productive team member while never sacrificing quality or patient safety,” wrote her supervisor. “Family members have often praised Harlee for her compassion and clinical skills in patient care.”

Phillips has worked for Decatur Memorial Hospital since 2023.
