Jessica Schuwerk, an imaging technologist at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for May.

Schuwerk is knowledgeable about pain clinic procedures. She helps ensure script orders for specific steroid and anesthesia medications are always accurate for patients.

“Jessica pays attention to detail and always puts the patient first,” wrote her nominator. “Her number one concern is patient safety. She constantly double-checks to make sure physician orders are correct prior to imaging the patient.”

Schuwerk has worked for Jacksonville Memorial Hospital since 2007.
