Garcia gives input, shares ideas and looks for ways to improve unit processes. She never hesitates to help others, whether it is patients or co-workers, and she always has a positive attitude. One co-worker had spoken with her primary care physician’s nurse over the phone. The nurse asked if a blood pressure reading could be taken.

“Tatiana was so willing to take a moment and not only take my blood pressure but all my other vitals and ask me questions,” wrote her nominator. “I was so thankful she took the time and was concerned about my safety. That is just one of her many attributes.”
