“We appreciate the dedication of these Auxiliary officers and the hundreds of Auxiliary members who work tirelessly to support patients, visitors and employees,” said Trevor Huffman, president and CEO of Jacksonville Memorial Hospital. “Their contributions make a positive difference for our hospital and the communities we serve.”
With more than 500 members, the Auxiliary operates the JMH Gift Shop and coordinates additional fundraising efforts that attract community engagement including raffles, a Fall Fling and Santa’s Breakfast.
Auxiliary members also help coordinate employee appreciation efforts with Colleague Certification Scholarships, Popcorn Days, seasonal decorating of the hospital and comfort bags for employees who stay overnight.
The Auxiliary provides volunteers for kidney and dialysis screenings, comfort bears for pediatric patients in the Emergency Department and newspapers for patients. They also support the Jacksonville Memorial Hospital 5K/10K and blood drives.
