Healthy Jacksonville’s Summerfest 2024 will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, at Community Park (corner of Main and Morton) in Jacksonville. Kids can enjoy Ferris wheel rides plus free popcorn and sno-cones from the Salvation Army.

New this year: event will be held in conjunction with Be Aware Wellness Fair. Local organizations will share opportunities for youth summer activities and camps. The Central Illinois Food Bank Mobile Kitchen Cart with nutritionist Karen Sibert will be there. A mass food distribution will take place with Prairieland United Way Food Drive and Dot Foods. Free meals from Salvation Army Food Canteen in collaboration with Spirit of Faith Soup Kitchen will also be available.
