Susan Walsh, a clinical researcher, was recently named Colleague of the Month for Decatur Memorial Hospital (DMH).
With more than 40 years at DMH, Walsh is appreciated for her commitment to colleagues, patients and the organization's mission. Her nominator described her as a cornerstone of the clinical research department:
“Susan exemplifies excellence and dedication in every aspect of her role,” the nominator wrote. “She brings unmatched experience and wisdom to our team. Her professionalism, reliability and commitment to patient safety and research integrity make her an invaluable asset to our organization.”
Walsh serves a critical function as the department's pharmacy designee, where her attention to detail ensures ongoing compliance and accuracy. Beyond her technical expertise, she is recognized as a dedicated mentor, actively training new employees and creating a culture where colleagues are empowered to grow and succeed.
Her nominator added: "Susan's contributions have a lasting impact, and her leadership continues to inspire those around her."
Walsh has worked at Decatur Memorial Hospital since 1985.
