Amanda Vortman, radiologic technologist, is the Jacksonville Memorial Hospital 2025 Colleague of the Year. Vortman previously earned recognition as Colleague of the Month in May 2025 for her leadership and dedication to patient care.
Vortman distinguished herself through an unwavering commitment to quality and excellence in the mammography department. She manages all Mammography Quality Standards Act paperwork, collaborates closely with radiologists and maintains open communication with physician offices to ensure patients receive the correct examinations. She also provides guidance and support to new trainees.
"Amanda is dedicated to the quality of work she does with every single patient she encounters," her nominator wrote. "Most mammography patients remember Amanda by name and are happy to see her on a yearly basis."
Vortman's compassionate approach and attention to detail ensure patients receive safe, high-quality diagnostic care. She joined Jacksonville Memorial Hospital in 2005.
The Colleague of the Year is selected at each Memorial Health affiliate from 11 individuals previously named Colleague of the Month throughout 2025.
