Ruth Engebrecht, a food production assistant at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for December.
Engebrecht’s attention to detail delights colleagues and visitors to the cafeteria and helps make people feel valued and appreciated. Her willingness to help out with a long serving line or to open another register to expedite checkout reflects her work ethic and desire to create a welcoming and efficient work environment.
“Ruth’s quick response to busy situations helps prevent any stress or confusion, which is essential for maintaining a safe and organized environment for both colleagues and customers,” wrote her nominator. “She embodies the spirit of teamwork and deserves to be recognized for her hard work, kindness and commitment to making the cafeteria a better place for everyone.”
Engebrecht has worked for Jacksonville Memorial Hospital since 1985.
