Kayla Benshoff, a nursing technician at Lincoln Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for October.

Patients appreciate Benshoff for the way she makes them feel safe – making sure fall alarms are set properly and risks minimized. Colleagues appreciate her flexibility to come in early or stay late when necessary and her willingness to help.

“Kayla wants what is best for patients,” wrote one nominator. “She comes in with a smile every day and makes the patients feel at home.”

Another nominator noted that Benshoff is intentional about establishing a trusting bond with her patients: “She is committed to the patient and their well-being by making sure they always have what they need.”

Benshoff has worked for Lincoln Memorial Hospital since 2019.
