10/14/2025

Katie Champion Williams has been named director of the Taylorville Memorial Foundation, effective Monday, Oct. 13.

Williams has served as director of development at the University of Illinois Springfield for the past seven years. Her work has focused on building meaningful relationships with donors, securing transformational gifts to benefit the campus and student initiatives and elevating the visibility of UIS through collaborative partnerships.

“Katie is a seasoned fund development professional with a strong foundation in mission-driven fundraising,” said Kim Bourne, president and CEO for Taylorville Memorial Hospital. “She began her career with the American Cancer Society, where she cultivated community partnerships throughout Illinois. This early experience in healthcare philanthropy will be invaluable. We look forward to working with her and continuing to strengthen our ties to this community.”

Williams holds a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Indiana State University and will complete her master’s degree in communication at the University of Illinois Springfield this fall.

“I’m excited to get started,” Williams said. “I look forward to building strong relationships within the Taylorville community, championing philanthropic initiatives that improve lives and patient experiences and supporting efforts that strengthen the Taylorville community.”
