Jamie Freeman, a medical laboratory technician at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for August.

Colleagues appreciate Freeman’s willingness to share his knowledge and expertise to help others. He mentors evening shift colleagues and is conscientious about instilling knowledge of laboratory medicine into the team.

“Jamie is very patient-focused and quality-driven,” wrote a leader. “He doesn’t hesitate to bring ideas forward for possible improvement in all areas. He is also very respectful and compassionate, a role model for others.”

Freeman has worked for Jacksonville Memorial Hospital since 2024.
