Kelly Cockayne, a learning coordinator, is the Memorial Health System Resources Colleague of the Month for August.
Cockayne recently assisted the nursing division with retraining all nurses on essential skills critical to quality care and patient safety. Working under a short turnaround time, Cockayne helped develop and lead an engaging and effective online module, along with in-person skill checkoffs. Among many other tasks, she also conducted a “train-the-trainer” session to help ensure the in-person training maintained a high standard.
“Her contributions have had a significant impact on the nursing division and end users, setting a new benchmark for future skill validations and reinforcing a culture of competence and patient safety,” wrote her nominator. “Kelly consistently delivers high quality work.”
Cockayne has worked for Memorial Health since 2010.
