Tiffanie Bell, RN in the Emergency Department at Lincoln Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for July.
Bell’s outstanding patient care was lauded by a patient in the ED with a broken arm, while her proactive approach and dedication to problem-solving were noted by another colleague nominator.
“Tiffanie Bell was a great nurse, amazing to me during my entire stay and even did extra little things to help me,” wrote the patient nominator. “She was kind and understanding that I was so upset and really helped me those first few hours after injury.”
The other nominator – a colleague – praised Bell’s willingness to diligently gather crucial information about a particular challenge that Information Services (IS) was facing. She created a user-friendly documentation sheet, which streamlined the documentation process and made it easier for nurses to record the time and nature of each issue. That action allowed the IS team to better diagnose and resolve the issue.
“Tiffanie actively participated in numerous meetings dedicated to diagnosing the root cause, contributing her insights and working collaboratively toward a resolution,” the nominator wrote. “Beyond her general kindness and consistently positive attitude, she is just a truly outstanding colleague.”
Bell has worked for Lincoln Memorial Hospital since 2016.
