The public is invited to “Early Warning Signs: Skin Changes and Breast Cancer,” a free educational session hosted by Memorial Specialty Care surgeon Mohammad Torabi, MD.

Dr. Torabi will share the early warning signs patients should look out for when performing a breast self-exam, as well as what to do if patients notice a skin lesion or other potential signs of skin cancer.

“It’s important to know what kind of skin changes can signal cancer,” Dr. Torabi said. “I’ll review next steps, as well as treatment options available for breast cancer patients.”

The event will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Registration is encouraged at memorial.health/events.
