Terry Scott, with Environmental Services at Decatur Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for June.

Scott ensures the Emergency Department beds are turned over in a quick, safe and efficient manner with meticulous cleaning. He stays in contact with ED staff and maintains positive working relationships. He also reviews any equipment needs in each patient room and communicates those to staff.

“Terry does so much within the department – it is always a breath of fresh air to know he is working,” wrote his nominator. “He is always bright, cheery and brings a good attitude to the workplace.”

Scott has worked for Decatur Memorial Hospital since 2023.
