Julie Drew, a speech pathologist at Decatur Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for April.
Drew works in a fast-paced environment at Memorial Therapy Care and ensures both inpatient and outpatient neurology patients receive the highest level of evidence-based care. She constantly seeks out continuing education and has qualified to apply for a special certification for speech pathologists who work with people with neurological disorders.
“Julie listens, laughs and connects in a special way, which makes our environment pleasant and fun,” wrote her nominator. “She maintains a positive attitude daily and always provides excellent services to our patients as well as creating a positive environment within the office.”
Drew has worked for Decatur Memorial Hospital since 2007.
