Frank Hardy, a shuttle driver with Patient Experience at Decatur Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Month for July.

Hardy is appreciated by his colleagues for being thorough about details big and small. Many of his clients have recurring appointments, including cancer and wound care patients. He knows them by name and is conscientious about any special needs they have.

The patients he transports are thankful for his compassion. His nominator wrote of her mother’s experience. “My mother was so impressed with his kindness and patience that she thinks DMH needs a hundred more Franks,” his nominator wrote. “My family and I are so thankful for this kind and patient man.”

Hardy has worked for Decatur Memorial Hospital since 2018.
